Short answer: A month-end close pack is the same folder of schedules rebuilt every period, which makes it a natural fit for a batch. What the close-week export usually costs

• The same folder, every month. Trial balance, reconciliations, supporting schedules, a lead pack, all in Excel, all exported again each period.
• One file at a time. Save as PDF with per-file page setup, repeated across the folder, is a slow tax on the busiest week of the month.
• Wide reconciliations clip. A schedule wider than the page comes out shrunk to unreadable or cut off, and a page break can land in the middle of a row.
• The numbers are sensitive. Close-pack detail is not something to upload to an online converter.

One honest caveat for a sensitive pack

CrazySmartPDF renders each sheet’s full data range and ignores the print area for deciding what to keep, which is what keeps it from silently dropping a figure. For a close pack that cuts the other way too: the current batch path has no per-file notice, so if a schedule used a narrow print area to hide working columns or backup tabs, those render into the PDF as well. A per-file batch notice is planned but not yet shipped, so for now, before you batch a sensitive pack, make sure each workbook contains only what should appear in the pack rather than relying on a print area to hide the rest. When you review a single file in the desktop or web pre-send review, CrazySmartPDF does tell you when it included data from beyond a set print area; that notice is the review UI, not the batch console.
